Position: Cook/Cashier – Hilltop
About: Sourdough Fuel, a division of Petro Star Inc. and a subsidiary of ASRC, operates seven gas stations in the Fairbanks/North Pole area, including convenience stores, grocery, merchandise, propane, and Hot Stuff Pizza franchises. Additionally, Sourdough Fuel operates the Hilltop Truck Stop, a full-service restaurant, grocery store, and fuel station on the Alaskan Haul Road. The company is seeking highly motivated individuals for employment in a friendly retail environment, offering opportunities in the food service and retail fuel industry with cross-training available for successful applicants.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; cash register experience preferred; customer-oriented; must be minimum 21 years of age; knowledge of customer service, basic math, and English; ability to operate Point of Sales (POS) software, magnetic card readers, or barcode reader equipment; physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. or more; ability to work varied hours/days including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed; ability to handle customer complaints and maintain a clean and orderly store environment.
