Position: Cook/Baker I – Correctional Facility
About: The Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention (DAJD) is seeking motivated individuals to occupy the position of Cook/Baker. The individuals chosen for this position will be responsible for providing food services for approximately 1,500 jail residents and staff, serving 3 meals per day. This position is crucial within the Food Services Section operating in an institutional/corrections environment 24/7.
Requirements: 21 years of age or older; Food Handler’s Permit as issued by Seattle-King County Health Department; High School Diploma or GED; Valid Washington State Driver’s License; Experience with food service equipment use and maintenance, knowledge of Washington State health and fire codes, food service techniques, basic math, and computer skills
