Position: Cook/Baker
About: Sunset Elementary is seeking a dedicated Cook/Baker to join their Nutrition Services Department team. The position involves preparing daily menu items in compliance with health regulations and district standards, ensuring the quality and safety of food served to students and staff.
Requirements: High school diploma or G.E.D. required; At least two years professional culinary arts/food production experience in a leadership role required; WSP/FBI criminal history background clearance; Current valid food handler’s permit. Ability to read, write, understand and follow oral/written directions, perform basic mathematical calculations, and meet physical requirements of the position. Strong organizational skills and positive interaction with staff, students, and the public. Membership in WSNA preferred; First aid certification required within 90 days of hire; ServeSafe certification preferred.
