Position: Contact Lens Receptionist
About: Contributes to the organization by being responsible for the fitting of all soft and gas permeable contact lenses, ordering and delivery of contact lenses. The Contact Lens Fitter is also responsible for adhering to current departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent; Four or more years recent contact lens fitting experience under the direction of a licensed Optician, Optometrist or Ophthalmologist; Responsible for sterility of lenses and compliance with OSHA standards; Responsible for inventory and stock of lenses; Entering patients’ specifications in the computer, correct codes, charges, and if pertinent, discounts, for all lenses and supplies; Train patients in insertion and removal of lenses; Responsible for returns and exchanges; All other duties as assigned.
