About: The Lowell Program in Economic Geology, housed within the Department of Geosciences at the University of Arizona, is an innovative program affiliated with the university’s School of Mining and Mineral Resources. The program offers a graduate certificate, MS, PSM, and PhD degrees, alongside broad-based continuing education focused on mineral resources. The position will help support the training activities, fellowships, and professional development courses. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in event coordination, enjoys working with people, and is adaptable to dynamic educational environments. This position will provide essential services to students, faculty, and staff at the University of Arizona.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required; 1 year of relevant work experience required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities; Ability to adapt and troubleshoot last-minute changes; Strong ability to work with vendors and engage with people directly; Ability to work flexible hours, except during meetings, conferences, or short courses. Ability to lift and transport up to 30lbs of materials, as needed for events.
