Position: Community Events and Development Manager
About: The City of Sun Prairie is seeking a Community Events & Development Manager to oversee and coordinate various City-sponsored community events and revenue generation opportunities. This role collaborates with the Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department and works under the supervision of the Director of Park, Recreation & Forestry (PRF) in coordination with the Recreation Director.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Recreation/Parks Management, Communications, Event Planning, Fund Raising, Public Relations, Marketing or related field desired; at least three years of experience in resource development coordination, fundraising, or event planning; knowledge of resource development principles, event planning, office equipment use, and marketing techniques; ability to multitask, establish effective relationships, maintain records, and adapt to changing priorities; skills in communication, data analysis, and contract negotiation; valid WI driver’s license or ability to obtain one within one month of hire
