Position: Communications Operator
About: Department of Environmental Protection, Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Emergency Management Program, Bureau of Communication & Response Services located at 1400 Negron Drive, Hamilton Township, NJ 08691 is looking for a Communications Operator Trainee to work in a centralized or regional communications center. This position is essential during emergencies, requiring flexibility in working shifts including weekends, holidays, and extreme weather conditions. Candidates must undergo a criminal background check and possess a valid driver’s license. Successful candidates will be eligible for advancement after completing the training period. New hires must establish and maintain residency in New Jersey within one year of employment.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of IS-100.c: Introduction to the Incident Command System training within one (1) year; ability to work in emergency situations on varied shifts; valid driver’s license if required for duties
