Position: COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER – PUBLIC AFFAIRS
About: Cook County Health & Hospitals System is seeking a Communications Manager for their Public Affairs department at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital. The Communications Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating communications and public relations plans for the system, including internal and external collateral, speeches, news releases, and social media content.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field required; minimum six (6) years of communications and marketing experience (including digital expertise) required; minimum two (2) years managing communication programs in a professional service, not-for-profit, and/or healthcare environment required; minimum two (2) years’ experience successfully managing and leading others required; duties may involve local travel to locations within Cook County required.
