Position: Communications Manager
About: The Office of Social Health Sciences and Programs (OSHSP) at the University of Wisconsin (UW) School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) oversees and guides the growth of SMPH’s initiatives, policies, and programs focused on studying and eliminating health disparities. The Communications Manager will join the Orion Initiative team within OSHSP, collaborating with leadership to strategically position content for impact at local, state-wide, and national levels, overseeing communication materials, website maintenance, social media marketing, and developing creative strategies to promote the work of the initiative.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Minimum 5 years relevant communications experience including digital content and marketing; Experience in website, marketing, social media in a community, governmental, university, or health care setting; Experience in community engagement; Demonstrated strong oral and written communication, organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and graphic design skills; Knowledge of website development, content management, and health equity in Wisconsin
