Position: Cocinero (Line Cook)
About: Silver Diner, a restaurant known for its commitment to quality and fast-paced service, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join their team. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and/or overseeing the preparation of menu items according to health and safety standards and Silver’s specifications.
Requirements: Education Required: Silver values demonstrated on-the-job learning through consistent professional development and formal education. Experience Required: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant or hospitality industry. Previous experience as a Cook is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements: The work area includes food, refrigerator, knives, toasters, microwaves, steam kettles, grills, ovens, flat-top grills, steam tables, plates/bowls, slippery floors, and sometimes high temperatures. This is a physically intense environment requiring physical endurance and the ability to tolerate heat, walk-in coolers, lift/maneuver boxes weighing up to 50 pounds, and stand or walk on hard surfaces for 10-12 hours a day. Ability to reach for objects, bend, lift and carry items, squat, and clean. Ability to tolerate the proper use of cleaning and disinfecting products.
