Position: Client Event Coordinator

About: Assist in day-to-day execution of the event strategy across several geographic markets but concentrated in NY, LI, CT, and NJ in support of the Wilmington Trust Event Head’s efforts to leverage strategic client engagement to advance the sales and branding agenda of the firm. Primary responsibilities include gathering and maintaining metrics around program effectiveness, event management, researching new event venues, managing webinar events, developing materials, and supporting client and market research. Education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience; OR in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years of higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills, work ethic, professionalism, proficiency in Microsoft Office software, and willingness to travel occasionally are essential. Education and experience preferred: Creative thinker with experience developing compelling client-facing marketing content, independent and detail-oriented, high energy with the ability to interact with internal stakeholders, 2-5 years in a marketing communications role or hospitality (upscale hotels, restaurants) preferred, experience with CRM systems, email marketing, and webinar platforms a plus. The successful candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience will determine their specific compensation.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience; OR in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years of higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience; strong written and verbal communication skills; strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism; must be a team player and willing to collaborate and take direction; proficient in Microsoft Office software; some travel required (30-40% – mostly regional between CT, NY, NJ and DE. Occasionally other markets); creative thinker with experience developing compelling client-facing marketing content that supports corporate messaging and helps drive sales; independent, self-motivated, and detail-oriented; high energy and able to interact with internal stakeholders on all levels; 2-5 years in a marketing communications role or hospitality (upscale hotels, restaurants), preferred; experience with CRM systems, email marketing, and webinar platforms a plus.
