Position: CHIEF OPERATIONS MANAGER, ASSISTANT (EMPLOYEE RELATIONS) (CLASS CODE 4222)
About: The City of New Orleans is seeking a Professional/Administrative Supervisor to assist the Chief Operations Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Employee Relations Division. This role will also involve supporting the Assistant Chief Administrative Officer in various municipal administrative programs and projects.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; Permanent status with the City of New Orleans in a class of work pay grade 77 or higher; Three years of professional administrative experience, including at least one year assisting a Chief Operations Manager or equivalent supervisor with pay grade 90 or higher. Additionally, three years of professional administrative experience in a centralized human resources division, including experience in an Employee Relations Department. Must have knowledge of grievances, EEOC investigations, policy development, and at least one year of supervisory experience. Professional experience requiring a Bachelor’s Degree is essential.
