Position: Chief Engineer
About: A hotel in need of a diligent and skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the proper installation, repair, and maintenance of all hotel equipment, including heating, air conditioning, ice machines, fire extinguishers, fire/smoke alarms, lawn sprinklers, and plumbing. The role includes ensuring swimming pool and spa maintenance duties are performed according to manufacturer specifications and local Health Department Regulations. The Maintenance Manager will develop, coordinate, and monitor a maintenance program to ensure the safety, security, and comfort of staff and guests, fostering a ‘guest first’ attitude among team members. They will also maintain a work order assignment program for completed and pending work orders, prioritize and complete work orders in a timely manner, educate and lead all department personnel on emergency procedures, key control, and safety, as well as oversee the hiring, training, development, and performance reviews of department personnel.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in maintenance management in a hotel or similar setting; thorough knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems; strong leadership and communication skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently; familiarity with local Health Department Regulations
