Position: Chef, Pastry – Head Baker
About: Universal Orlando Resort, a world-renowned entertainment destination, is seeking a Bakery Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and team members in the bakery. The role involves establishing and maintaining a program of baked goods and products for the resort.
Requirements: Baking and Pastry Degree or Baking Apprenticeship preferred; 5+ years of experience in a high-volume bakery production facility with 5+ years in a supervisory role; Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule based on special events and business demands; Must be able to ideate, create, and execute menu offerings at a high level; Ability to understand semi-industrial bakery equipment and optimize efficiencies in a bread production line; Knowledge of starters, cultures, fermentation, laminated doughs, grains, and milling; Attention to detail and precision in measurements; Strong communication and teamwork skills; Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced kitchen environment
