Position: Chef-de-Cuisine (CDC) / Head Chef

About: Wooden Paddle is seeking a passionate and experienced Chef-de-Cuisine to lead the kitchen operations. The company values excellence in food quality, cleanliness, profitability, and creativity in a dynamic and evolving restaurant environment.

Requirements: At least 5 years of professional kitchen experience, preferably in high-volume, upscale-casual restaurants; at least 2 years of high-volume restaurant experience in a Chef-de-Cuisine, or equivalent, role; a Bachelor’s degree in the Culinary Arts, or equivalent work experience; advanced knife skills & familiarity with all culinary techniques (grilling, roasting, braising, sautéing, baking, etc.); extensive culinary knowledge, including seasonal ingredient expertise, flavor pairing, and presentation techniques; previous experience with wood-fired cooking, a major plus!; must have a current ServSafe Manager Certification; must be at least 21 years old; must have open availability – including nights, weekends, and holidays; must have the ability to regularly work 50-ish hours per week; physically able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and keep up with the pace of a busy kitchen; must have a valid driver’s license & sole access to a personal vehicle; familiarity with Toast, 7Shifts, & Margin Edge, a major plus!
