The Commissary/Hotline Department within the Commissary of the company. This position is part-time/full-time, union, and hourly, reporting to the Commissary Manager. The job involves ensuring the highest level of service to internal and external customers, producing quality products while adhering to sanitation and production standards, in a fast-paced production kitchen environment with cold/hot conditions and moderate to loud noise. Essential duties include customer service, department responsibilities, and general staff duties.
Requirements: High level knife skills; 2 years of food service production experience including making sauces and cooking meat; ability to follow sanitation and production guidelines; proficiency in math; attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to work under time pressures and handle multiple demands; willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities; effective communication and comprehension skills; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment; flexibility to adapt quickly to changing conditions; standing, walking, bending, reaching; ability to lift up to 60 lbs; regular use of sharp cutting instruments
