Position: Center Cook/Maintenance
About: Head Start is a federally-funded, national child and family development program that provides comprehensive services for pregnant women, children from birth to age five, and their families. Services include promoting school readiness through early education, health, nutrition, mental health, and services for children with special needs. Parent services focus on family engagement, including parent leadership and social service supports.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED; 1-3 years related experience, or a combination of education and experience; ServSafe certified or certification within sixty calendar days of hire; knowledge of nutritional requirements and food content; basic knowledge of cleaning and maintenance supplies; commitment to social justice and working with families with limited financial resources; effective communication, documentation, and record-keeping skills; valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation; physical ability to carry out tasks.
