Position: CBW Tunnel Operator – Central Laundry Facility, Virginia Beach VA
About: The CBW (Continuous Batch Washer) tunnel operator at a commercial laundry facility is responsible for loading the CBW Tunnel Washer, operating the 50 Bar Hydraulic Press, and controlling the PC that operates the Dryers and Shuttle transport. The operator must ensure that customer-owned goods do not become co-mingled with another property and report safety, mechanical, and quality deficiencies immediately.
Requirements: Minimum of 5 years work experience in a commercial laundry facility or similar discipline with a commensurate skill set – hospitality, prison, military; possesses or can acquire and retain a basic knowledge of laundry cleaning chemicals and procedures; works well under moderate stress involving deadlines; able to work flexible shifts, may be required to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays to accommodate multiple shift schedules; able to maintain high quality standards (low defect rate) while performing repetitive tasks.
