Position: Cavalier Resort Sommelier
About: The Cavalier Restaurants are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Sommelier to lead and manage their wine programs across all properties, ensuring a high standard of service and expertise. The Sommelier will play a key role in curating wine lists, training staff, overseeing special events, and maintaining relationships with distributors to enhance the wine offerings at Cavalier.
Requirements: Type qualification: May require an associate’s degree or its equivalent and at least 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area; Experience level: THREE Certificate from Court of Master Sommeliers or comparable professional association; Experience: Detailed knowledge of wine varietals, regions, wine-making practices, and innovative industry techniques as well as all product labels on outlet lists; Experience: Broad understanding of list pricing, costs, and proper pours; Skill: Ability to work weekends, evening hours, and holidays
