Position: Catering Supervisor
About: The Catering Sales & Event Supervisor is responsible for maintaining existing catering accounts and soliciting new business both on and off campus. The role involves fostering relationships with university staff, faculty, and corporate contacts to meet revenue goals while providing leadership to the Catering team.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent certification/experience; working knowledge of food service and sanitation regulations; at least one year experience of working with clients and customers in food service; excellent verbal and written communication skills; five years of experience in catering food service or equivalent experience; professional knowledge of food production and service; ability to lift 30 lbs correctly and stand for long periods; proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word & Excel; able to work a flexible schedule; Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration or Hotel & Restaurant Management (preferred); two to four years of supervisory experience in catering/food services (preferred); experience managing in a unionized environment (preferred); valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ServSafe Certification or equivalent food protection manager certification.
