Position: Catering Operations Manager
About: The Bronx Zoo is seeking a Catering Operations Manager to oversee all catered functions at the zoo and ensure seamless event execution. The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), running field programs in 60 countries and the entire ocean, is a global wildlife conservation organization with a focus on impactful conservation results. The Bronx Zoo serves as the scope for this position within the Events & Catering department.
Requirements: College degree in hospitality field or equivalent experience; two to four years’ experience in catering/banquet field, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity; general knowledge of food and beverage procedures, control, and administration; strong written and oral communication skills; excellent analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to balance numerous tasks simultaneously; strong organizational skills; ability to work independently and operate a business without close supervision; strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Excel; valid driver’s license
