Position: Caterer (Student Employment)
About: The Weld RE-5J school district is seeking a highly motivated and talented High School student to join our catering team. This opportunity will provide valuable hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of food service and hospitality while working in a professional environment. The student caterer will assist the food and hospitality team in performing food service oriented tasks and supporting the organization’s digital infrastructure. This position demands outstanding communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and multitasking capabilities.
Requirements: Currently enrolled in a high school program, preferably with a focus on food service or related fields; Possess a foundation in cooking techniques and food preparation, including food safety practices; Student caterers have the ability to juggle multiple events simultaneously; Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively; Ability to plan ahead, prioritizing tasks, and meet deadlines; Effective communication is key; Student caterers should be friendly, professional, and attentive to client needs, ensuring a positive experience for all guests; From menu planning to food presentation, meticulous attention to detail is crucial; Catering often involves working as part of a team, whether in the kitchen or at events; Student caterers should be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, supporting each other to deliver outstanding results; Must be a current Roosevelt High School student; Must be 16 years of age or older
