Position: Cashier & Server
About: At Black Walnut, we provide delicious food and outstanding handcrafted cocktails, with a guest ordering style that is considered fast casual. However, we aim to elevate the typical fast casual experience by delivering elevated hospitality surpassing our guests’ expectations. Our dining room team has two primary roles, and you will be trained to perform both roles. The Cashier role is responsible for greeting guests and taking their order at the counter, offering specific suggestions, and leaving a positive impression. The Server role involves greeting guests in the assigned area, taking ownership of the guest experience, food running, table maintenance, and bidding farewell to guests. Additionally, there may be opportunities to work as a greeter, coffee barista, and/or expo at times.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; experience in a customer-facing role preferred; ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment; strong communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; willingness to learn and adapt to various roles; alcohol Server Certified; ability and willingness to smile and make eye contact with all guests
