Position: Cashier Farmstead
About: The City of Overland Park is offering a temporary Cashier position at the Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead, where the selected candidate will greet and assist customers at various point of sale areas, collect fees, provide information to visitors, and ensure excellent customer service.
Requirements: Basic education equaling 8 grades; minimum of 14 years of age; entry-level position with no previous experience required; basic math skills; good communication skills; ability to compute basic math calculations; ability to carry out assignments through oral and written instructions; ability to read and comprehend City policies and procedures; alpha and numeric recognition; ability to work under distracting conditions; ability to operate a cash register; ability to greet and assist the general public; ability to distinguish colors; ability to make and receive phone calls; ability to sit or stand and be attentive for extended periods of time
