Position: Cafe Attendant, line server, busser
About: Riddle Village, a lifecare retirement community, is seeking Cafe Attendants to join our dining department team on a part-time basis. This position will work during the day (with the exception of the Sunday late afternoon shift) and includes every other weekend. Riddle Village offers the best value among life care communities in the Delaware Valley, developed to meet the retirement and healthcare needs of active, independent adults aged 62 and better. Riddle Village’s lifecare protection plan provides access to onsite health care services including assisted living and skilled nursing, along with various recreational and social activities. The community pride itself on providing fine dining, buffet, pub-style, and cafe services.
Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age; must be able to follow oral and written instructions in the English Language; must be able to speak, understand, read and write in the English Language; must have an interest in working for the elderly; must like to smile, and smile often; must display excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills; must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, both individually and as part of a team, and maintain a professional demeanor throughout the entire shift; must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances with or without reasonable accommodations; must be able to work every other weekend with shifts that start as early as 8:30 AM and end as late as 3:30 PM Monday through Saturday and run from 2 PM-7:30 PM on Sunday; must be able to stand the majority of the time, walk short distances, stoop and reach for food. Must be able to lift food and equipment and withstand changes in temperature going in and out of coolers and freezers with or without reasonable accommodations.
