About: The Richmond SPCA is a non-profit organization located in the heart of Richmond, Virginia, dedicated to saving, protecting, and enriching animal lives. They rescue, rehabilitate, and find homes for about 4,000 homeless animals annually while providing vital safety net programs to keep pets in loving homes. Requirements: 18 years of age or older; Adaptability in daily routine; Able to react to change productively; Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment; Reliable transportation; Participation in all required trainings and meetings; Successful completion of a background check; Comfort handling/learning to handle both dogs and cats; Strong commitment to no-kill principles (including spay/neuter and pet adoption) and to reward-based, positive reinforcement training methods
