Position: Beverage Manager
About: Hotel Lucine, located in Galveston, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Beverage Manager to oversee the beverage programs propertywide, with a focus on wine and cocktails. The role includes responsibilities such as purchasing, costing, inventory management, staff training, and sommelier/wine seller duties during service.
Requirements: Management in at least two prior restaurant programs with progressive culinary and beverage programs; General restaurant service experience of 6+ years; Minimum 2 years of managing a small beverage program; Exceptional knowledge of bar cost, LBW distribution (liquor, beer, wine), inventory, and pricing; Exceptional knowledge of wine; General knowledge of classic cocktails and beer; Ability to be consistently punctual and ready to work at scheduled in-time; Must possess a valid TABC and Texas Food Handlers certificate; Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods; Experience in negotiating contracts with beverage vendors; Ability to build company culture, morale, and positive work environment; Collaborative work with Food & Beverage Director on menu items and staff training.
