Position: Bell & Valet Attendant (Part Time)
About: Located in the heart of downtown Providence, Rhode Island, the 294-room Graduate Providence is a landmark hotel with an illustrious past. The Graduate Providence is a member of the Historic Hotels of America. The primary responsibility of a Bell & Valet attendant is to ensure that all guests are warmly welcomed upon their arrival at the entrance of the Hotel, providing assistance with luggage, parking, and retrieving cars, and accommodating guests during their stay in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. Night & Weekend availability is required for this position.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred; must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state; at least two years of driving experience preferred; ability to lift heavy objects; ability to stand during the entire shift; valid driver’s license with a clean (zero points) driver’s abstract and able to drive standard and automatic vehicles; effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality of information; perform other duties as requested by management.
