Position: Behavioral Health Specialist
About: The Cook County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist to work within the Programs Department at the Cook County Department of Corrections. The specialist will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing counseling and support services to individuals in custody.
Requirements: Possession of a bachelor’s or higher degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field; Two (2) or more years of full-time professional work experience in the mental health field; Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Ability to work directly with individuals in custody and walk long distances or stand for extended periods; Flexibility to work any assigned shift, including holidays and weekends.
