Position: Bartender (Part-Time $15.00/hr.), Graylyn Conference Center
About: Wake Forest University is seeking a detail-oriented Bartender to prepare quality beverages and provide exceptional service to patrons. The Bartender will be responsible for mixing and serving drinks, cleaning and maintaining the bar area, setting up and breaking down bars for events, and inspecting food and beverage quality. This role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work a flexible schedule, and knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED and one year related bartending experience in the hospitality industry or restaurant environment; 21 years of age; excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills; ability to communicate effectively in English; ability to maintain effective customer relations; ability to up-sell items; ability to present, open, and pour wine; working knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and common drink recipes; ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays; ability to operate golf carts and vans; physical requirements: medium work, climbing, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing. Visual acuity to determine neatness and thoroughness of work assignments. Subject to both inside and outside activities.
