Position: Bartender job
About: Provide genuine and extraordinary service to all guests in order to exceed their expectations. Use teamwork and enthusiasm while serving food and beverage using proper service techniques. Responsible for following recipes to prepare and serve beverages to bar and dining room guests, while maintaining a clean and organized workstation.
Requirements: Have availability to work a variety of hours, including weekends and holidays; Follow all systems, policies, and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook; Provide genuine hospitality to all guests and provide them with an experience that exceeds their expectations; Successfully complete alcohol awareness training and/or food handler training course(s); Be committed to teamwork and have a pleasant attitude; Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines; Follow all steps of service as outlined in the employee handbook; Have knowledge of all food and beverage menus in order to answer questions and provide the guest with what they want; Comply fully with all allergy, dietary restriction, and modification procedures; Maintain accurate guest orders and accurately account for all items ordered and delivered to the guest; Correctly stock bar and storage areas with proper liquor, beer, wine, glassware, ice, serving tools and supplies; Properly recognizing intoxicated guests, not over-serving alcohol to guests showing signs of intoxication, and alerting management of all such situations; Exercise proper and accurate cash handling, cash till security and reconciliation; Be proficient in the use of equipment including POS terminals, credit card terminals, coffee machines, dish machines, three compartment sinks, CO2 tanks, draft beer mechanisms, etc.; Accomplish other duties as instructed by management when applicable; Maintain honesty and integrity in all aspects of employment; Communicate clearly and hospitably with guests and teammates; Effectively service multiple guests at the bar simultaneously, while also servicing and managing the service well station; Be able to take and prepare multiple orders at one time; Be able to carry multiple plates of food safely and cleanly; Be able to use a tray to carry multiple drinks when applicable; Use knives, peelers, and other bar tools safely and effectively; Be able to multitask while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor; Be able to work in a space of varying noise, temperature, and crowd levels; Be able to be to stand and/or walk for the duration of your shift; Be able to lift and move items up to 25 pounds occasionally, and up to 50 pounds in general; Practice proper safety guidelines at all times
