Requirements: Qualification standards: Must have 2 years of experience in full-service bar or equivalent; must have accurate mathematical skills; must have knowledge and experience in the preparation of alcoholic beverages; must have a thorough knowledge of types of liquors and wine and their distinctions and uses. Must be willing and able to meet personal schedule requirements punctually, be courteous, pleasant, and good-natured, communicate with and understand the average guest, provide a persona compatible with the established image of the restaurant, stand or walk for long periods of time while on duty, work nights, weekends, and holidays, accurately work with and account for large sums of money, open beer, liquor, and wine bottles frequently, and be physically able to move and transport filled glass racks, cases of beer, wine, or liquor when a bar back is not available.
