Position: Bartender job
About: Prepares all alcoholic beverages for guests and venue servers, actively takes orders, conducts full and complete food/beverage service, and monitors guests’ bar/dining experience. Interacts with the bar guests, employees, and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner to ensure gracious hospitality. Possesses in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus and the company, properly sets-up the bar stations, serves all alcoholic beverages in accordance with state regulations, maintains bar cleanliness and organization, presents menus, answers questions, makes suggestions, enters orders into the POS system, delivers food and beverages to guests, completes end-of-shift financial procedures, observes company policies and procedures, participates in training sessions, and ensures guest and co-worker well-being by following safety standards. Must be able to handle physical demands such as standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, working in a fast-paced environment, and working flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements: 2+ years previous fine dining experience; previous experience in a large fast-paced restaurant setting; effective oral & written communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills; excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities; team player who supports co-workers; solid understanding of job duties and safety concerns awareness; certifications in Alcohol Awareness (TIPS/SIPS, for example) and Food Handling Safety; ability to handle physical demands, repetitive tasks, and exposure to hot elements or cleaning materials; flexibility to work varying shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
