Position: Barista – Regent Santa Monica Beach Opening 2024
About: Regent Santa Monica Beach, an IHG Hotels & Resorts property, is set to open in Santa Monica in 2024 as the first destination in the Americas. The resort will redefine modern upper luxury with sumptuous rooms, a beachfront pool deck, a destination spa, a wellness center, a celebrity chef restaurant concept, and an artisanal marketplace.
Requirements: Must have 1 year experience as a barista in a high-volume café, luxury hotel and/or fine dining experience is a plus; Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace; Must have good understanding of classic coffee and tea drinks; Must be eager to constantly learn trends in coffee and tea; Knowledge of spirits and wine, a plus; Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering impeccable guest service; Basic math skills are frequently used when recording and adding guest checks; Must possess basic computer skills; Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and maneuver between simultaneous functions; Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
