Position: Barista in Training – Columbia University Locations
About: Joe Coffee Company, a specialty coffee house founded in 2003 by Jonathan Rubinstein in Manhattan’s West Village, is seeking curious and committed baristas in training (BITs) interested in learning about specialty coffee. With 20 cafes in New York and its own Roastery in Long Island City, Joe Coffee’s mission is to brew high-quality, unique coffees and create a welcoming space for the community. The company values the education and success of its baristas through professional training, aiming to serve excellent coffee with warm hospitality in every community.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; eager to learn about coffee and become a certified barista; strong desire to offer great customer service; reliable, friendly, fast-paced, and a good team player; prior coffee shop experience desirable; prior experience serving guests; able to work a flexible schedule
Benefits: $15.00 per hour + tips, $17 per hour guaranteed
