Position: Barback job
About: EL Bar Tequila & Mezcal Bar, a subsidiary of City Winery, is launching at Pier 57 and is seeking dynamic Barbacks to join their team. The bar celebrates the terroir-driven spirits of tequila and mezcal, fostering a culture of education and appreciation for these spirits in a unique and vibrant setting at the iconic Pier 57.
Requirements: Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality setting; Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and remain on feet for extended periods; Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision; Meticulous in keeping the bar clean, stocked, and organized; Willingness to support the bartending team and contribute to a positive work environment; Capable of handling a variety of tasks quickly and efficiently, with a willingness to learn new skills; Clear and effective communicator, able to take direction and work well with others; Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed; Friendly and approachable demeanor, focused on providing excellent service to guests
