About: EL Bar Tequila & Mezcal Bar, a subsidiary of City Winery, is launching at the vibrant Pier 57 and is looking for dynamic Barbacks to join their team. The bar celebrates terroir-driven spirits of tequila and mezcal, fostering a culture of education, exploration, and appreciation for these spirits’ rich histories and vibrant cultures. Located at Pier 57, EL Bar offers a unique and exciting environment for both guests and staff, creating a one-of-a-kind experience on the waterfront.
Requirements: Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality setting; Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and remain on your feet for extended periods; Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision; Meticulous in keeping the bar clean, stocked, and organized; Willingness to support the bartending team and contribute to a positive work environment; Capable of handling a variety of tasks quickly and efficiently, with a willingness to learn new skills; Clear and effective communicator, able to take direction and work well with others; Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed; Friendly and approachable demeanor, with a focus on providing excellent service to guests; Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and stand for extended periods during shifts
