Position: Banquet Server
About: HHMI headquarters in Chevy Chase, MD, is focused on supporting and advancing science in various ways, including basic biomedical research, education empowerment, and film production. The workplace accommodates over 300 employees with expertise in investments, communications, digital production, and biomedical sciences, contributing to the research conducted in HHMI labs nationwide.
Requirements: High school degree or equivalent experience; five to seven years in a commercial (e.g., embassy, corporate, restaurant) food service setting; minimum of one year of experience with banquet and event operations, including setup, service, and breakdown; SafeServ and MD food safety certifications are required; ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English; ability to quickly adapt and think on one’s feet; a polite, positive, and proactive demeanor; experience using Microsoft Office and Outlook; focuses on continuous improvement of guest satisfaction; communicates in an open manner welcoming feedback
