Position: Banquet Manager

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Business Management or Hospitality preferred; Certification of previous training in liquor, wine, and food service; Certification in alcohol awareness program; Certification in CPR; Manager level Food handling certificate; Management experience in a luxury hotel/hospitality environment required; Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as Banquet Manager in a hotel required; Knowledge of specific meeting room set-up styles; Knowledge of staffing guidelines for various sized events; Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal; Compute basic arithmetic; Must be able to read and comprehend P&L’s; Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls; Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data; Ascertain departmental training needs and provide such training; Direct performance of staff and follow up with corrections when needed
