Position: Banquet Houseperson
About: Situated across the street from the Long Beach Convention Center and just two blocks from the beach, the Westin Long Beach is looking for a Banquet Houseperson to join their team. This 474-room hotel offers a range of amenities for both business and leisure travelers, with extensive meeting space, suites, and a beautiful garden terrace for events. Guests can easily access nearby attractions like the Aquarium of the Pacific and the Queen Mary.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and/or related experience in a hotel or a related field preferred; flexible availability for long hours; ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods; excellent communication skills with guests and staff; strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities; adherence to hotel standards and regulations for safety and efficiency; proactive in identifying and resolving issues; friendly and service-oriented demeanor at all times
