Position: Banquet Captain, Catering
About: Vanderbilt University, located in Nashville, Tennessee, is seeking a Catering Banquet Captain to oversee and assist with daily catered events on its 330+ acre campus. The position involves working closely with the Catering Operations Manager to coordinate staff, equipment, and food delivery.
Requirements: A high school diploma or GED is necessary; an Associate’s degree is preferred; ServSafe certification required within 3 months of hire; at least 3 years of related experience necessary; at least 2 years offsite catering, restaurants, or specialty events experience preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Food and Labor Management Systems necessary; valid driver’s license required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; flexible schedule including nights and weekends required; strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.
