Position: Banquet Captain
About: Manage Banquet service operations to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, and compliance with corporate/franchiser policies and procedures while meeting/exceeding financial goals. Position has shift responsibility for day-to-day operations of the Banquet section, recommending policy and procedural changes, assisting in budget implementation and monitoring expenses within approved constraints. Essential functions include analyzing Banquet Event Orders, coordinating schedules, equipment, and supplies, monitoring and controlling the Banquet budget, implementing company programs, and overseeing Human Resources in the Banquet area.
Requirements: One to two years of post-high school education; two to three years in a related position with this company or another organization; 32-40 hours per week; ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects like tables, chairs, and boxes occasionally (50 lbs max); bending and kneeling occasionally for tasks like taping cords and picking up floors; mobility to service clients at a moment’s notice with variable distances; continuous standing for function observation and client site inspections (one hour min to four hours max)
