Position: Bakery Cake Decorator – Part Time
About: Whole Foods Market is seeking a Bakery Decorator to join the team responsible for creating and decorating cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order items with artistic flair and precision. This role plays a vital part in delivering excellent service and high-quality bakery products to customers while upholding company standards and values. The Bakery Decorator will be actively involved in promoting company programs and ensuring compliance with Food Safety regulations.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; 6-12 months of retail or restaurant experience; completion of Bakery Decorator Apprentice training program or relevant experience preferred; ability to lift 50 pounds; standing/walking for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday; proficiency in cake and pastry decorating, color theory, and icing techniques; strong communication and teamwork skills; willingness to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays; basic math skills for recipe conversions; adherence to FDA regulations and cleaning standards; familiarity with bakery equipment and tools; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
