Position: Baker – Kitchen & Cafeteria
About: Children’s, the region’s only full-service pediatric healthcare center, is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team in preparing desserts and baked goods for patient, cafeteria, and catering needs. The position emphasizes maintaining food quality standards and adhering to food safety guidelines to ensure exceptional service for the children they serve.
Requirements: High school diploma or G.E.D preferred; minimum 6 months experience in food service, food preparation, or related field required; knowledge of institutional cooking, basic food safety techniques, basic ordering/inventory principles, HACCP principles, recipe preparation, portion control, compliance to closing protocols, ability to utilize leftovers in a creative, safe manner, ability to lead staff in the absence of a supervisor or lead, ability to adjust food production using historical data; current and valid Food Handlers Certification (ANSI-accredited only within 180 days required)
