Position: Baker job
About: Safeway is currently seeking a Kitchen Staff / Pastry Cook for their bakery department. As a Baker at Safeway, you will measure flour, sugar, shortening, and other ingredients to prepare batters, dough, fillings, and icings. You will also dump ingredients into a mixing-machine bowl or steam kettle to mix or cook ingredients according to specifications, role, cut, and shape dough and related products preparatory to baking, and read recipes and other instructions.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; experience as a baker or in a similar role preferred; ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately; knowledge of baking techniques and equipment; attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
