Position: Baker/Cook
About: Under the direction of the Cafeteria Manager, this position is responsible for performing skilled tasks in the preparation and serving of bakery and food items in a sustainable setting of a school cafeteria. The position also involves assisting the cafeteria manager in maintaining the cafeteria in an orderly, safe, and sanitary condition in compliance with USDA guidelines.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; minimum of 5 years of large-scale experience in preparing bakery items or equivalent experience; culinary school experience preferred. Must have knowledge of baking methods, ability to plan and organize work, interpret and follow instructions, work under pressure, perform mathematical computations, cooperate with various stakeholders, and ensure safety standards in the kitchen. Possession of a valid driver’s license and active Sanitation Certification required.
