Position: Backcountry Wilderness Area Events and Outreach Coordinator

About: The Backcountry Wilderness Area is an 8,200 acre conservation area just south of Highlands Ranch, dedicated to providing outdoor recreation and environmental education opportunities while preserving a significant portion of the property for wildlife. The Events & Outreach Coordinator role involves engaging the community, promoting conservation initiatives, and coordinating outdoor experiences in a dynamic and nature-filled environment. The position also includes work behind the scenes with social media, volunteer coordination, and supporting the 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Requirements: Bachelors degree in marketing, public relations, non-profit management, media, or related field; minimum 2 years of experience in event coordination or outreach, or equivalent education and experience; strong interpersonal skills; physical ability to work outdoors in challenging weather conditions and handle strenuous activities; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, website content management systems; familiarity with non-profit management and environmental stewardship
