Position: Athletics Event Coordinator II
About: Grand Canyon University, a leading institution of higher learning in Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking an Athletics Event Coordinator II to support, organize, and coordinate event logistics. This role involves collaborating with organizing committees, managing event services, maintaining schedules, and ensuring overall event success in alignment with organizational goals. The Event Coordinator II will also mentor student workers, facilitate planning meetings, and identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in event coordination processes.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferred in a discipline related to communications, marketing, promotions, or similar program from a regionally accredited institution; valid driver’s license in good standing; 1-year experience in event planning, promotions, or related capacity; demonstrated ability in self-motivation, effective communication, planning, and organizing; willingness to work varying schedules including evenings, holidays, and weekends; ability to pass pre-employment background investigations
