Position: Associate, Global Conferences & Events
About: Ares is looking for an Associate Event Manager to join the Global Conferences & Events team. The team is part of the Global Clients Solutions group and has members based in New York, Los Angeles, Mumbai. The Event Manager will be responsible for planning small – mid sized events from initial concept discussions through execution. Events are hosted in person and virtually, and typically range in size from 25 to 100 attendees and providing support on large flagship conferences globally.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree required with outstanding academic record; 6-8 years of events experience required; Experience in financial services industry strongly preferred; Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word and experience in Cvent and Salesforce; Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment while maintaining high quality standards; Adept at time management to successfully manage multiple priorities with high stakes deadlines; Strong communication skills, both written and interpersonal; Capability of interacting with key stakeholders to direct prioritization of related activity; Attention to detail and analytical thinking; Good judgment in terms of escalating issues vs. solving problems independently; Some travel may be required
