Position: ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR – FOOD SERVICES
About: To assist the Assistant Director of Operations in the administration, planning, development, implementation, and operation of all phases of food services within the Department of Corrections. The position involves coordinating food acquisition, leading food budget preparation, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at the DOC.
Requirements: Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Culinary Studies; Experience: Five years employment in an administrative position involving responsibility for planning, directing, and controlling a food service program at a large private or public facility. Thorough knowledge of food administration principles, practices, and techniques; ability to plan, develop, coordinate and supervise staff in food preparation and delivery; expertise in evaluating food service methods, procedures, and equipment; strong problem-solving skills in dealing with inmate-related challenges.
